New Year goodness!

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! The Lion Dance is a very common part of the Chinese New Year festivities and is believed to bring good luck in the coming year.

A disclaimer, I do not speak any languages native to Southeast Asia, so I apologize if my Happy New Year sentiment is not right. If anyone reading this catches that it is written wrong please tell me! I got it from a children's coloring book, so I trusted that it was correct. '^_^

2015! Year of the Wooden Sheep

Hi all, Mark here!
Today I'm coming at you with a post I missed for the theme "Happy New Year!"

My drawing today celebrates the start of 2015-- in the Chinese Horoscope, 2015 is the Year of the Wooden Sheep (hence the leaf in my pic).  My character design was inspired by the art of the 'Paper Mario' series.  (Nintendo characters are and have always been my biggest influence, artistically)

The first thing that comes to mind with 2015 is Back to the Future 2. 

I can't wait to have my own Hover Board. Happy New Year!

HAPPY...New Year

To celebrate the new year, I drew Happy from the Rankin and Bass classic Rudolph's Shiny New Year.  I made sure to include his adorable big ears. Enjoy!
