Fan Art Friday!

As I mentioned on Monday, we're now excepting submissions from other artists who are interested in drawing our weekly challenges.  Any one who is interested please check out Monday's post at http://scribblenerds.blogspot.com/2014/06/weekly-challenge-robots.html

For our first Fan Art Friday we have a great piece by David Balan of Iron Woman for our rule 63 challenge.  You can check out more of David's work at www.davidbalan.com

Everything is Rosie

Who doesn't love Rosie from the Saturday morning cartoons of yore? The adorable and funny cyber maid of the future from The Jetsons is a classic robot darling.

Robots in Love

Hi all, Mark here!

This week I drew what I like to draw a lot of: cute romance.  A world where a guy-bot asks out a girl-bot by giving her a metal flower is a world I want to live in.

Quick little shout out to the Mega Man classic games, which inspired the shapes in this pic.
Also, yes, girl-bot's pigtails are light bulbs (sometimes I out-cute myself).

Robots in Disguise.... One shall stand, one shall fall...

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

No robot more badass then Optimus Prime. All time favorite. <3

2 Hour Skecthcover, Prismacolor markers, Copic & Micron Pens, White Gelly roll pen.

More snazzy Prime Quotes found here!

C++pid & Psyche

Here's a new thing! Done for an upcoming show (theme was technology: past present future) and my take on William-Adolphe Bouguereau's painting of the Abduction of Psyche:
in a perfect world, amirite?

Robot Monster

OK, maybe he’s more monster than Robot, but in my defense Robot is the first word in the title of this 1953 classic monster movie. Ro-Man’s ridiculous design is basically a space helmet slapped on a gorilla suit, but somehow it just works and was a lot of fun to draw.
