"It seems like Krampus is on the rise in popularity here in the US, though he's been around much longer back in the deep dark fairy-tale woods of Central Europe. Something about his devious Grinch-ness, scolding and stealing fussy children, offers a welcome counterbalance to the saccharine sweetness of cookies, reindeer and Old Saint Nick. Or, perhaps, it's just the promise that all those noisy, snotty little kids will be spirited away in the night so the grownups can enjoy their Christmas. Bah humbug, I say!"
